The mens cycle race took place on 28 July 2012, the first day of the 2012 Olympics in London. The race was won by Alexandr Vinokourov of Kazakhstan.
Grumpy Old Man Richmond went Richmond Station to see the Olympic Torch Relay. It was a choice between going to Petersham Road or Richmond Station. Decided on Richmond Station because it was closer.
The torch went past exactly as per schedule at 10:25am. A bit too hot and sunny so got back to base for a tall glass of ice water.

Grumpy Old Man Richmond went to Wimbledon with a friend who had complimentary tickets to Centre Court. Bus 493 from Richmond dropped us close to Wimbledon Club which was nice
Lovely place and the weather held out as well so there is nothing to whinge about which I guess is also a whinge.

Grumpy Old Man Richmond was invited to a late lunch on Sunday. Then a neighbour dropped by with an invitation to tea on the same day.
Unfortunately one got back from the lunch too late to go to the tea.
Ah well!!
